Interests/Hobbies

My main interests include cars, travel and dancing I am somewhat of a petrol-head and am fascinated by almost everything about cars. I enjoy all forms of dance and I am still an acting member of the University of Sheffield dance society. Travelling has always been a part of my life and I enjoy visiting new places (hence the Geography degree).

Previous Work Experience

My previous work experience is varied although this is my first full-time position since leaving full time education I have had experience within the service sector both retail and hospitality. These positions however were concentrated around my university timetable. I also have some experience as a camp counsellor, children’s badminton instructor and within the Sheffield voluntary sector.

Current Position

I am currently placed in the Business Support division within the NE Group. My main objective is to contribute to the economic regeneration activities of NE especially around the development of new contracts and tenders. This includes assisting in the development of new projects for the Business Support, Training and Property divisions of the business.

Career Aims

My experience with NE has confirmed to me that my career interests lie within Economic Development and Regeneration, therefore my aim is to become a successful and acclaimed Economic Development professional. Whereby I can combine my interests and experience within both geographic and economic domains to become a leader within the field of National and International Economic Development.
