Q: What was the process for you joining The NE Group?

Having completed my university course I found that there was not a great deal of information technology employment in my area without at least a few years experience in an office environment. Also I was unable to attain employment in a ground floor position due to having a degree and being seen that I would move on as soon as the opportunity presented itself. This left me in a strange position of being under experienced for one set of jobs but overqualified for another set.

During job searches I managed to attain two temporary contracts. One contract was as a warehouse worker for the Christmas Period and the other as a sales assistant.a I finally managed to find a position in the IT Industry on a support desk for a supplier of software. This was not my ideal job but it was in the correct industry.

After around a year and a half on the support desk I heard about the graduate recruitment scheme at the NE Group and applied after a quick talk with the human resources department. After completing the three stage interview process I was employed as a graduate recruit in the estates department.
