CharlotteGo Back to: Graduate Blog Archive Tue 8th Apr 2008 Q: What was the process for you joining The NE Group? I went to University straight after my A levels and completed a BA Geography course, within this time I developed a keen interest for regional, national and international economic geography. Geography and economics remain a significant interest for me and this was incremental in my initial contact with NE. I meet with the HR representatives for NE at a local job fair and from then I had regular contact with them in regards of their Graduate Programme. The programme provided me with the opportunity to gain a necessary and unrivalled insight/experience within the field of economic regeneration along with opportunities for training and development. I felt that the combination of which, along with my educational qualifications would provide a fast track for my future career development. My experience so far has in many aspects surpassed my expectations. I have had the opportunity and responsibilities to contribute to tenders and research projects for both the regional development agency and international operational programmes, these opportunities have allow me to combine the geographical and economic research that I enjoy, with the real life development of projects which make a significant impact within the region. |
