Edwinstowe based company Nottinghamshire Enterprises has this week launched its first Annual Report which announces that after being in operation for only 4 years the company has over the past year supported 1022 companies throughout the East Midlands, providing a range of support services which include:

• Skills Development
• Learning Opportunities
• Technology Demonstrations
• Hands-On ICT Training

 

Based at Edwinstowe House, Business Innovation and Incubation Centre, Nottinghamshire Enterprises has two clearly defined operating divisions, which are:

• Edwinstowe House - a business centre offering conferencing and serviced office space
• Centre for Economic Development - the development and delivery of projects designed to develop skills and generate wealth

Last year alone, over 30,000 people visited Edwinstowe House, a thriving business centre that is home to over 40 tenants ranging from start-up businesses to multi-national organisations, which between them employ around 500 people.

Within the Annual Report, Nottinghamshire Enterprises have reported on the success of some of the tenants. This includes PromoPower Ltd, a promotional staffing and field marketing agency who won the Newark and Sherwood Business Award 2004 for the Best Use of ICT after being in business for just 7 months.

The report also details Nottinghamshire Enterprises plans and vision for the coming year, which includes:

• Building a further 20,000 sq ft of incubation space as an extension to Edwinstowe House
• Extending the conference and training area by building a new conference room and extending the existing restaurant
• Continuing to deliver contracts that encourage wealth generation, increase skill and provide ICT demonstrations to both individuals and businesses
