The NE Group - Business excellence in house

Case Studies

Cinderella's

After working in the beauty industry for 4 years, beauty therapist Clare Coleman decided that she wanted a new challenge and rather than working in a salon, she wanted to open and run her own salon. In September 2006 she did just that and set up her own business called Cinderella’s Beauty Salon.

5 months into the operation Clare decided that a change of premises was needed and began searching for a new location, after surfing the Internet she found Blackburn House and on first visit Clare knew that Blackburn house was able to offer her the facilities and services that she needed to help her to grow her business.

What really appealed to Clare about Blackburn House was:

  • The location and setting of the building
  • The fact that it is well signposted and easy to find
  • Ample free parking

Cinderella’s offer a full range of beauty therapy services, however being a female owner manager of the business Clare has also been able to access support through the Women 4 Women programme. A programme designed to support and guide female business owners, the project has enabled Clare to access 50% funding towards the purchase of a new facial machine.

Since moving into Blackburn House Clare has found the staff to be extremely helpful and very flexible; by ensuring the building is open for her clients during the evenings and at weekends.

Clare said:

‘I have found the help and support from everybody at Blackburn House fantastic. The premises are second to none, and compliment my business, reflecting a calm, tranquil, and professional image. I hope to develop my business further, remaining at Blackburn house for many years to come!’
