Interests/Hobbies

I have a keen interest in football and play at the weekend in a local Sunday league. Whilst at University I captained the football team and enjoyed some success winning both the league and cup competitions. I also enjoy playing other sports in my spare time such as tennis, badminton and swimming. Aside from sport, my other major interest is poker. I have been playing poker for approximately 2 years and have won a number of tournaments, most recently establishing myself as national pub poker champion 2007.

Previous Work Experience

Since leaving school I have had a number of different jobs. Throughout Sixth form and University I worked as a barman, after which I worked in Insurance and Sales. Previously to the NE Group I worked as an Account Manager for an electronics components brokerage.

Current Position

I am currently placed in the Business Support division at the NE Group. I assist the Business Support team in the day to day management and delivery of projects. I am also conducting various internal projects, typically exploring the business functions and how they might be improved with regard to the changing business environments.

Career Aims

I would like to continue learning and developing in the business environment. I would like to climb the corporate ladder, accumulating knowledge, responsibility and position. Failing this I would like to become a professional poker player!
