Wilson Energy Ltd was founded in July 2007 and was set up in order to work with other organisations to reduce and control their energy consumption. The company is split into 3 main areas:

• Wilson Energy Ltd works with organisations to provide systems for utility metering data collection. It also offers energy management support.
• L2 Metering Services is predominately product based and offers an array of metering and control technology.
• iMeter UK is a partnership with a large Dutch gas meter manufacturer.

Wilson Energy Ltd became a tenant at Newark Beacon in September 2007 after viewing the state of the art building and facilities and learning about the services that were available; such as switchboard, ICT support, postal services, marketing and business advice. Within the company it is felt that the centre has exceeded their expectations.

Since arriving at the Newark Beacon the company are ahead of their targets financially both in terms of turnover and profitability and are about to be awarded an overseas contract which will see their forecast for the year more than trebled.

The company has also achieved ISO 9000 accreditation and employ a number of people with further plans to expand their staff base.
